Experienced formula:

Rectangular bus-bar: 2(a+b)=2/3D
Circular bus-bar:=2/3d

e.g:80x8mm bus-bar,the diameter should be:

P.S: according to this formula, using NHBT standard sleeves, it is about 2mm (10Kv), 2.5mm (35Kv) of thickness after shrunk.

Common problems guidance

problems

cause

Solution

Surface not smooth after shrunk

Temperature of Metal bus-bar too low

Prolong the preheat time to the metal bus-bar or prolong the heat time.

Too thin (insulate material not thick enough)

Improper choosing of the insulate sleeve

Choose it according to the experienced formula

Split in the oven

Temperature too high or heat time too long

Heat it at about 110oC=10oC for 30min

Not even in thickness when heated by hand

Improper ways of heating

Should be heated spirally, from one end to the other, or from the middle to each end.

split

Saw-tooth occur on cutting the insulate sleeve

Cut it smoothly

Wrinkles at curving point of the bus-bar

Material choosing not correct.

Choose special shrink-rate product when angle too small or more than two angles. .
